At KPM, we believe that all people deserve to eat great, local food.

That’s why SNAP and WIC benefits are exchangeable at the market for tokens. Our 'market match' program helps low-income families with young children, seniors and disabled, eat healthy food by matching SNAP benefits at Kenosha Public Market. Families that receive SNAP and/or WIC benefits are eligible to double their benefits up to $20 each market day.

Our market match program is supported by individual contributions and fundraising events throughout the year. If you would like to support the dollar-for-dollar SNAP market match program please

Guidelines for Shopping at the Market During the Covid19 Pandemic:

Our market is following the Kenosha County Kickstart guidelines.  We have taken measures to keep people and foods safe. Our Market is held inside - the aisles are wide, the ceilings high and there is plenty of space.  If you are feeling ill, please have a friend do your shopping and stay at home. We are encouraging our vendors to do the same.

In good times, farmers markets have been places to gather and converse, however, now is the time to follow public health and safety advisories and resist the urge to linger and socialize. We all have a critical role to play in preventing the spread of COVID-19.

  • Be healthy and safe. Stay home if you are sick or have been in contact with someone who has been sick. Wear a face covering.

  • Have a game plan. Come prepared with a grocery list in hand. Try to get in and out of the market quickly.

  • Shop quickly and efficiently. Avoid peak times and try to limit your visit to 30 minutes or less. Many of our producers will have items pre-bagged for you to grab and go. Our food court vendors are packaging all hot foods 'to go' for you to enjoy at home.

  • Shop solo and don’t crowd. Maintain 6 ft social distancing while shopping Please follow signage and visual cues for lines.  Limit conversations, please don't mingle.

  • Mind the queue. Maintain 6 ft social distancing and waiting in line at the market. Please follow signage and visual cues for lines.

  • Let our food producers serve you. No self-serve or sampling!  Don't touch. Please ask for what you'd like and let our vendors serve you & remember to wash your produce when you get home.

  • Wash your hands. Wash up before and after coming to the market.

  • Minimize money handling. When possible, use exact change, credit card or contactless payments.

  • Preorder for pickup. If you’re not able to come to market, you can order products  for market pickup or curbside pickup.

  • Thank your food producer. These are challenging times and they work hard to feed us. We must invest in and strengthen our region’s farms and food supply, especially in times of crisis.

  • Be patient, flexible and kind. This is a stressful time, but we’re all in this together!

  • Take care of yourself and our community. Eating fresh fruits and vegetables is one of the best ways to keep your immune system strong when we need it most!
